Mental health can be similar to addiction and alcoholism. Once you come to a stable point where you are beating your struggle, it doesn’t end there. Ever. That is always important to remind ourselves. Suicidal idealizations, depression, bipolar disorder, paranoia, temptation, grief, they do not just disappear. It can absolutely come haunting back. But we want to and need to stay proud of ourselves. We have to learn our resources and what works best for each of us. Do not expect perfection. You need to do the work and learn and live with these terrible demons. It is not always fair to us and how hard we work when these disorders and diseases come back. But we can and will continue to move forward. Let’s cheers to giving us all a chance for a happy and healthy future. A good life and good coping. Because you deserve it. And I know some of you may be reading this and say you’ll never get through this, I think the same thing at times. But I DESERVE a successful, full, and exciting life, and so DO YOU! We have to do our best to get there. I will not allow my diagnosis to take over my life. It’s our turn to make the decisions. Get on board with me and lets kick ass!

Reaching out for help is the first step. It is also the hardest.

But you can do it.

If you think nobody believes in you, you’re wrong. I do.

Below are few resources. As I research more, I will add. I will also list any podcasts I listen to or books I read that may also help. Please send me any that you think I should list and missed:

You can also contact your local hospital and get information on treatments and programs they may have to help. Ask if there are any groups in the area they would refer to you. And I strongly recommend a therapist. They’re not all against us, I promise. You just have to find one you connect with and when you do, it will help you so much more than you can ever understand. Therapists are very common in todays world and it is nothing to be ashamed about.

If you are overwhelmed and need assistance, I am here to help you through it and getting the correct help you need. I am not an expert. I just have experience. I would love to help anybody that needs it.
